Link Transit is offering a shuttle service from Shopko on Maple Street to Walla Walla Point Park for the Wenatchee area fireworks display Tuesday evening.  The shuttle will run from 8:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., with pick-ups about every 15 minutes during those times. 

Enjoy the festivities and avoid the hassle of driving to the event.  Take a blanket or lawn chair… relax and enjoy the spectacle.

Custom Auto Repair behind               Tom, Dick & Harry’sWhen I come across a business I am particularly impressed with , some good publicity is in order.  Today I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Taft, the owner of Custom Auto Repair.  Frankly, I didn’t even know this business existed but we were in need of some servicing to the air conditioning unit in our van and Joe was recommended… and I’m glad he was. 

Joe is a really nice guy,  honest, his rates are very reasonable AND he has the cleanest mechanics shop I have ever seen!    His tool chest was organized and lined up as well as any operating room surgical tray.  

The shop is located behind the Tom, Dick & Harry’s restaurant at the Monitor turnoff.  There is a big Yellow sign that you can’t miss.   Next time you’re in need of some repairs on your vehicle, check Joe out… and tell him Carol Williams, the realtor recommended him!  If you click on the image to enlarge you will see Joe’s phone number:  509-741-0911.  Also, you can see his really cool motorcycle.

I found an interesting government website that gives you the latest census date of any location you choose.  I went to the website and typed in the Wenatchee zip code and this is what I got.   You can type in any location you’re interested in too.  Pretty interesting.

As I read the Wenatchee demographics and East Wenatchee demographics, I couldn’t help but think they’ve already changed quite a bit… with our tremendous growth and the increasingly diverse population immigrating to the area.

Have you ever wondered how to get grease spots out of a carpet.  I ran across this tip from a contributor on the "TipKing" website:

"Rug grease spots.  You cannot hide them with your furniture! Especially, if they are in the center of your living room. I tried many professional products. Nothing worked. I had two very obvious grease stains on my WHITE carpet. When they got darker and darker from dampness, I was jsut about to buy new carpet.

DON’T DO IT UNTIL YOU TRY THIS! I had nothing to lose-try it on a small area 1st. Isopropryl (rubbing alcohol) poured directly onto the area…or sprayed onto it. Let it sit only for a few minutes. Then, take a dampened sponge with a scouring pad side amd rub firmly against the carpet’s grain. I now do not have stains and do not need to buy new carpet".
